How to Check Your OOU Admission Status
- Visit the Admission Portal: Head over to the OOU admission status checking portal at OOU Admission Portal.
- Enter Your Details: Type in your JAMB Registration Number and Password. For your first login, your SURNAME acts as your password.
- Access Your Status: Click the “Login” button to view your OOU admission status.

If you’re one of the lucky ones to secure admission, it’s crucial to follow the instructions on your portal meticulously. Any failure to comply with these instructions by Thursday, 23rd November 2023, may lead to forfeiture of the admission offer.
Next Steps After Admission
For Candidates Admitted into OOU
- Accept or Reject Admission on JAMB CAPS: Go to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) at JAMB CAPS to either accept or reject your admission offer.
- Print JAMB Admission Letter: After accepting the admission, print out your JAMB admission letter from here.
- Course Change if Necessary: If you’ve been offered a course different from your initial choice, apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal at JAMB Course Change.

Alternatively, you can also check your OOU admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by:
- Visiting the JAMB Portal: Navigate to JAMB Portal.
- Logging In: Enter your Jamb profile credentials (username and password).
- Checking Admission Status: Scroll down to the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab, select your exam year, enter your registration number, and then click on ‘Check Admission Status’ or ‘Access my CAPS’ for your admission status and other services.
